charlie sheen debacle and reality check

Reality:
There is high unemployment levels and working families without health insurance scrambling to buy bread, milk, and heat for their children. Teachers who work hard for our children are losing their jobs and health and retirement. This is so Republican politicians can cut taxes paid by the rich and corporations, then cry budget deficit and try to take workers' protections away. Various citizens' rights and protections for the workplace and the environment are under attack by conservatives, for the benefit of corporate and wealthy interests and culture wars. The separation between the wealthiest 1% and the rest of us has become a chasm.  Arab citizens are fighting for their basic rights and freedoms, and being brutally repressed and slaughtered.

Then there is charlie sheen.
He's blowing millions on porno hookers, plane rides, and blow. This spoiled brat adult is throwing loud tantrums at his coworkers and whining like a newborn getting its bottom slapped the first time. His career is going down in flames like a helicopter on the set of Apocalypse Now, no doubt to the chagrin of his father and family. Thank you for perpetuating the stereotype of the ugly American to the international community so that the French can sneer at us and the Arab religious leaders can decry us as corrupt, spoiled infidels. When the average Third World poor person, living in a dirt floor, tin roof shack, and struggling to get what passes as food, hears stories about your lifestyle, you make them jealous.  You are providing inspiration and PR fodder for terrorists around the world to get their countrymen to hate the spoiled, “corrupt” Americans.
